Q: What happens when I order a “REPAIR” from the website?

A:  Upon check-out, you will be prompted to enter your billing and shipping information along with a credit card for payment processing. When your order is completed, ALJ will send you (within 24 hours) shipping instructions to send the board in for repair. Once ALJ receives your boards for repair, we will process your order within 2-5 business days and will return the items via the shipping method that you selected on checkout. Any SCRAP items will be issued a refund less a minimum $20 evaluation charge, or we will contact you to offer a replacement, if available. Voluntary cancellation of a repair order for any reason after 24 hours will result in a $10.00 non-refundable fee.  Please ship the board for repair to:

Please include a copy of the sales order inside the box. When repairs are completed ALJ will email you a final invoice with tracking number and will ship the repaired board back.

Q: What happens when I order “REPAIR + TRADE-IN” from the website?

A: ALJ will ship you a refurbished board via the shipping carrier and rate you select at checkout. We will refund the deposit once we receive the old board(s) back. Credit will not be issued for unrepairable or SCRAP units. SCRAP units will be assessed a minimum $20 evaluation charge. Please note that there may be a short lead time for some parts, you will be notified of any lead time that exceeds 5 business days. To return the core unit for credit, please ship to:

Please include a copy of the invoice inside the box. Credit will be issued 3-5 days after receipt and board verification.

Q: What happens when I order a “BUY REFURBISHED” or “BUY NEW” from the website?

A:  Upon checkout, we will ship the items you purchased to the address you indicated in the order. If REFURBISHED, you will receive a refurbished unit, if NEW then you will receive a brand new unit. Please note that there may be a short lead time on some parts, you will be notified right away of any lead times that exceed 2 business days.

Q: What happens when I place an order of combined “REPAIR” and “NEW/REFURBISHED” items from the website?

A: ALJ treats these types of combined orders as handled separately. We will ship the “NEW/REFURBISHED” items to you upon checkout via the shipping terms you select. Items for repair will need to be shipped to ALJ for service. Once ALJ is ready to return the board to you, we will call you for payment for the return shipping. 

Q: What happens when I cancel a repair order?

A: ALJ will charge a $10 cancellation fee for cancelling a repair. These type of accidental orders that end up cancelling interrupt our workload.
